Courageous kids are the youth of the world that are fighting life altering medical illnesses like brain tumors, diabetes and leukemia. This term “courageous kid” was developed by Jessie Rees as an alternative to “oncology kid” or “cancer patient”. She knew she had cancer and didn’t need the medical community telling her with their labels, which is why Jessie choose a term that spoke to the heart of each kid…courageous!
